John grew up with a zest for all things media (film, music, gaming, etc) and a keen sense of adventure. His passion and desire have driven him to be an award winning filmmaker and an avid, incredible storyteller. With a wealth of knowledge as a Director and Producer of large Multi-Camera Events, Music Videos, Documentaries, Commercials and Original Content, John has strived to be a well rounded filmmaker with a variety of tools in his arsenal. After the marathon bombing in Boston, John jumped at the opportunity to film the Boston Strong Benefit Concert, seen by over 50 million people around the world. With over 12 huge artists and numerous other acts, directing a live 5 hour show of this caliber requires someone very special. Due to all his hard work and knowledge, it was a very successful fundraiser. Fenway Park opened its outfield to John for the first ever full concert filmed at the historic venue, showcasing The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on The Block. Under extreme rain and in the shadow of the Green Monster, a wonderfully successful concert video was produced.
Through the years, John has worked with nearly every big musician. His comfort and ease of character has coaxed some incredible interviews and very natural performances including but not limited to Selena, Gomez, Lady Gaga, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Sam Smith, Van Halen, and Bastille. Along similar lines, he's been responsible for documentaries on Eric Clapton and Selena Gomez.
Commercials and branded content are second nature for John and he’s worked extensively for Beats By Dre, Ford, Herradura Tequila, Pantene, Wella, Vidal Sassoon and Cloud9 Living. His vision, ability to listen to clients and showcase the best of any brand, have aided in creating some great campaigns.
If his work doesn't speak enough for itself, he also started Blind Vision Films, a multifaceted boutique production company in Los Angeles (11 world class directors). His clients always return due to the company's consistency, integrity and exceptional work.
John Logsdon is one of those rare filmmakers that feels at ease in many situations, whether it's on the side of mountain, in a live truck directing a massive multi-cam concert, on a sound stage interviewing a pop icon or in the depths of a natural disaster.
